Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I buy from BrittanyLovesArt?
When you shop with BrittanyLovesArt. you will feel confident in knowing you are receiving true one-of-a-kind pieces. This art isn’t created using machinery, but with loving hands by someone who truly loves what they do for a living. Every piece is created with love, one bead at a time.
What kind of beads do you use?
I use perler beads for my art. A perler bead is a small, round plastic bead with a hole in the center. They’re made from a food-grade plastic called low-density polyethylene, and are heat activated.
The beads are placed together on individual plastic pegboards in a pattern and/or shape, and then melted together with the heat from an iron. What can you make with them? Just about everything!
How long does it take to do custom bead pieces?
The time it takes to create a custom bead piece varies depending on the size and the amount of colors used. A custom piece of a portrait is usually 12×12 inches or bigger. A 12x12in size can take 6-7 hours of beading nonstop. Melting the piece takes an additional 1-2 hours.
How long will it take for my order to arrive?
I ship all premade orders out within 3 business days. The shipping speed depends on if you select Standard or Priority shipping and which state you are shipping to. Standard takes 2-5 days, Priority takes 1-3 days. For custom orders, the turnaround is 2-4 weeks depending on the size of the piece and the time it takes to bead it.
Can I mount my bead piece to a wall?
Sure can! You can glue it to a canvas and hang it on the wall, use push pin tacks, removable whitetack, or even narrow finishing nails. I provide push pin tacks with every custom order.
Are the prices negotiable?
No. As with the majority of shops and the majority of online sellers, the pricing you see here is final.
Why are some pieces priced higher than others?
Factors that go into the price include the hours/time spent on a piece, the amount of different colors used, the cost of purchase, and the high demand in the moment.
